Park Jiha

Park Jiha is a Seoul-based composer and multi-instrumentalist who plays the piri, saenghwang and yanggeum, traditional Korean instruments she sets in minimalist, chamber-jazz and electroacoustic arrangements. Her 2018 debut solo album Communion followed her work in the duo 숨(su:m), and moved toward a more personal, spare sound. Her music is quiet and detailed, built on texture and silence, so it suits a seated room better than a loud, crowded one.
