About the Artist
Lea Salonga is a Filipina singer and stage actress whose clear, classically trained soprano spans Broadway show tunes, Disney songs and pop ballads. She originated the role of Kim in Miss Saigon in London in 1989, winning an Olivier Award, and later became the first Asian woman to win a Tony Award, for the 1991 Broadway run. She also provided the singing voices of Jasmine in Aladdin and Fa Mulan in Mulan, so a concert set typically pairs those songs with theatre material.
