Kenny G

Kenny G is a Seattle-born soprano saxophonist whose smooth jazz sound, built on long, vibrato-heavy melodic lines, has made him a fixture of adult contemporary radio since the 1980s. His 1986 album Duotones was his breakthrough, and he went on to win a Grammy and cross over to the pop charts, which is rare for an instrumentalist. He has played saxophone since he was 10, and he also plays alto and tenor, so a live set gives you a chance to hear his signature soprano tone up close.
