About the Artist

HU550 is the producer and DJ alias of Andrei Klimov, a Kazakhstan-born artist who spent most of his life in Russia and is now based in Bangkok. His experimental hip-hop beats draw on JPEGMAFIA and Death Grips, and before the project began in 2020 he led the alternative rock and electronic band Moqumentary. He became active in Saigon in 2022, where he worked with rappers who had appeared on the Vietnamese TV show Rap Việt, so expect a set rooted in abrasive, left-field beat-making rather than standard club fare.
