Alan Dixon
About the Artist
Alan Dixon is a DJ and producer from the North East of England whose sets and releases sit in afro house and afro tech, with roots in the disco circuit. He started out as a rock kid before a club night at 16 changed his direction, later spent several years as a Ministry of Sound resident in Singapore, and has released music on Running Back, Permanent Vacation and Correspondant. His Asia-based residency years and a résumé that includes Horse Meat Disco, Elrow and Glastonbury suggest a selector comfortable moving between disco warmth and a heavier, percussive dancefloor.
