Vanishing Twin
About the Artist
Vanishing Twin is a London-based, multi-national group led by Cathy Lucas, blending neo-psychedelia, art pop, and experimental electronics with nods to Sun Ra, Alice Coltrane, Stereolab, and Can. Formed in 2015 and named after the twin sister Lucas absorbed in the womb, they've released Choose Your Own Adventure (2016) and The Age of Immunology (2019), the latter taking on populism and xenophobia. The lineup has drawn members from projects like Broadcast, Floating Points, and Raime, so expect a rhythm section with a loose, krautrock-adjacent groove under the playful, off-kilter pop.
