# TOKYO SHOEGAZER Source: https://livein.city/bkk/artists/tokyo-shoegazer Genres: Shoegaze, shoegaze, dream pop, japanese indie, math rock Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/0dzZimiT5lEvERCEXHdaTX ## About Tokyo Shoegazer (東京酒吐座) is a Tokyo band that blends shoegaze and dream pop with the angular rhythms of math rock. They began in 2010 as a one-off lineup assembled for drummer Sasabuchi Hiroshi's birthday show at Shibuya O-WEST, then stayed together and released their second album, *turnaround*, in 2013. The members come from other Tokyo bands, including Kara and acid android, Presence of soul and Zeppet Store, which helps explain a sound that is denser and more rhythmically driven than most shoegaze. --- Every LiveIn.city page linked above is also available as markdown: add `.md` to its URL.
