## About

Thulcandra is a German band playing melodic black metal with a strong death metal undercurrent, built around tremolo-picked guitar leads and dense, driving riffs. They formed in Germany in the late 1990s and take their name from the Latin phrase for "the silent planet" in C.S. Lewis's space trilogy. Their sound leans closer to the blackened melodic death of early Dissection than to raw lo-fi black metal, which makes them an easy fit for fans of both camps.
