## About

Kings of Convenience are a Bergen, Norway duo, Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe, who pair two soft harmonizing voices with intricate nylon-and-steel acoustic guitar work in a folk-pop style. They met as children at a geography competition and began drawing notice after a run of European festival appearances in the summer of 1999, which led to their debut and the breakout *Quiet Is the New Loud*. The material is built on quiet interplay between two guitars and two voices, so it suits a seated, attentive room better than a loud one.
