## About

Julian Marley is a London-born reggae singer and multi-instrumentalist, the son of Bob Marley, whose roots reggae leans on the Jamaican tradition he grew up in after a childhood split between England and Jamaica. He debuted with *Lion in the Morning* in 1996 and followed it with *A Time & Place* (2003) and *Awake* (2009), the last of which was nominated for a Grammy. He has also been a partner in the Ghetto Youth International production company with his brothers Ziggy and Stephen since 1989, and his live shows are built on the same roots-reggae sound as his records, played on the instruments he learned as a kid, including keys, drums, bass, and guitar.
