## About

JID is an Atlanta rapper, born Destin Route, known for dense, rapid-fire lyricism and intricate flows layered over trap, soul-sampling and R&B-leaning production. He came up on the Atlanta scene with his 2015 debut EP *DiCaprio* and later signed to J. Cole's Dreamville label, where he became one of its core voices alongside the label's collective *Revenge of the Dreamers* projects. His technical command is the draw live: he keeps his fast, multisyllabic verses intact on stage rather than slowing them down for the room.
