## About

Harakiri for the Sky are a Viennese two-piece who build long-form black metal tracks around melodic guitar leads and raw, shouted vocals — closer in spirit to Deafheaven or Alcest than to anything purely Scandinavian. Their 2021 album *Maere* runs over an hour and charted the project's shift toward denser, more layered arrangements while keeping the confessional lyrical tone that defines their catalogue. Live, the duo typically expand to a full band to fill out the wall-of-sound their records suggest.
