## About

Disturbed are a Chicago heavy metal band built around David Draiman's rhythmic, staccato vocals and Dan Donegan's tight, groove-driven riffs, drawing on nu metal, hard rock and classic metal. They formed in the mid-1990s out of an earlier band called Brawl, broke through with 2000's *The Sickness*, and later reached a far wider audience with their 2015 cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence," which followed a hiatus that began in 2011. Their live show leans on that range, pairing early staples like "Down with the Sickness" and "Stupify" with the slower, more melodic material from their later records.
