## About

Damien Rice is an Irish singer-songwriter from Celbridge, County Kildare, whose sparse, acoustic-driven songs build from near-whispers to full, strained crescendos. He started out in the 1990s as a founding member of the band Juniper before going solo, and his debut album *O* became his defining record. Live, his songs are often rebuilt on stage, with looped guitar and voice carrying the quieter material and the louder moments pushed to their limit.
