# AWEN Source: https://livein.city/bkk/artists/awen Genres: Afro House, afro house, afro tech, tribal house Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/5uOaNXrr4qGx9YXbo9HaUl Links: [Instagram]() · [Facebook]() · [Resident Advisor]() ## About AWEN is a Paris-born singer-songwriter, of French and Malian-Senegalese parentage, who makes afro house with tribal and afro tech leanings. Before music took over, she built a career as a lawyer in Hong Kong, and she began releasing music under the name AWEN after her father's death. Her following on Spotify is modest at around 18,000, so a Bangkok date is a chance to catch her in a small room, with her vocals front and centre rather than buried under the beat. --- Every LiveIn.city page linked above is also available as markdown: add `.md` to its URL.
